but what for? just so you can see the map being filled in? I dont even think it has any useful resources to speak of to make it worthwhile except from an aesthetic point of view. Each to their own, I suppose... You might be better off sending a diplomat down and bribing the place. They walk faster than armies, and cost less to maintain...

Yes! I love seeing the map covered in my faction colour. There is someting satasfying about adding a huge piece of land to you empire. However, I am really quite positive that the Sahara can't be conquered, the settlement in the map's corner is of no historical significance, and the character inside of it never even existed.

It did exist. It was the location of an important salt mine. Heodotus mentioned it, I believe. Whether the character there existed or not I dont know.

I havent tried to go there, but I reckon the team probably did leave a path open. I also dont think its possible to make any settlement totally unconquerable. Theres always the move character cheat which can teleport an army down there...

No path to it. Leaving a path was talked about, but in the end it was sealed. The only way to take it is to cheat.

And yes, I have reached the Marian Era, the Imperial Era too (with alterations to the script). I'm currently in 130BC and fighting for Media and Northern Germania.

Have you the bug too that all existing roman barracks in Italy are permanent 100% damaged after Marian reform?
I can build all Troops in them but they show 100% damage...if you repair them they next turn still 100% damaged....i hope the game dont want from me that i tear all barracks in Italy and build them much years again? and if yes...can you add the barracks after tear them down to the City´s? what is to do to do it?

    That's no bug, it's a feature!.

Marian and Imperial MICs are in their complex, there is no way to uprgrade a polybian MIC to become a marian MIC. To prevent that players can train both, marian and polybian units at the same we have script that damages the old MIC every turn after the reforms.

At some point we planned to have script that additionally places a marian MIC in all italain provinces after the reforms but don't know if this wa ever realised or dropped.

It was a typo. I posted that at about midnight last night, so apologies for any confusion. I blame lack of sleep.

It looks like you're right. Terhazza was the site of some important salt mines in the Sahara. Funny, as it seems to be in the middle of nowhere. As for the character, Gisgo was a fairly common Numidian name, so it woudn't surprise me if he was a randomly named general...
