Thanks for all your quick replies.

    Just one more question:

    I have one folder with RTW 1.5 + BI 1.6 + Alexander 1.9
one folder rtw 1.5 for backup and one folder RTW 1.5 + EB

Now here is the question: What is the quickest way to install EB with BI ?
( I know how it works with the shortcut etc. ) just asking if Alexander add-on won't bother my EB with BI install.

Mine is in my Rome directory file that contains EB and BI. But not in the BI folder. It has it's own folder.

Wink Re: To BI or not to BI ?

    mine was simple

i have the gold edition, it wouldn't even allow me to patch up to 1.6
all i had to do was change the EB short cut from RomeTW.exe to RomeTW-BI.exe
the rest was already done and done
    :)

i am thinking of starting a new campaign

    hmmmmm

i wish i knew when they would release a new version

    and is rome really done?
    i mean
    nothing extra, no special features

Not for QUITE a while. The team really did a ton of work to get v.8x cleaned up. Reason being we wanted you guys to have plenty of time to play lots of fun campaigns while we produced the next MAJOR version of EB. It is definitely going to be worth waiting for, but its NOT worth "not playing v.8x because I keep hoping for something better".

If CTDs appear and we can identify fixes for them, we'll probably offer some tiny patches. But they will not have new content.

    And is Rome "done"? Nope.

Well I'm playing the game with BI.exe now , but still have one question:

I now have the choice between EB main campaign and provincial campaign.
EB main campaign is not selectible ( it says choose .... below ) , so provincial campaign it is. But then you have two choices: barbarian campaign or EB main campaign . They both work and appear the same . Is there a difference and which one shall I choose? ( The AI in my EB main campaign is not as aggressive as I hoped for )

There should be no difference, as it is the .exe that defines whether you are playing through 1.5 or 1.6.

If you used my instructions on how to play with BI (including custom battles) then EB main campaign should work fine, instead of telling you to choose below though.
