It's really quite fantastic.

The directing and scene work in that movie was outstanding. Close quarters fighting was indeed fun to watch - all the tactics and micro support the Spartans used (though really over the top at times ;x ) was refreshing to watch. Perhaps in movies about ancient warfare I like seeing some good ol' sword on sword action.
