New patch being worked on

I just realized taking a look at the threads we've added here that we haven't mentioned anywhere that we're currently working on the next patch for Roma Surrectum.

The new patch is undergoing testing and hopefully sooner rather than later will be ready for release.

BUT it is on its way!

Good news Squid! Will it be save game compatable or will I have to give up my Roman campaign where I am leading Rome to utter collapse through my idiocy? I am actually quite enjoying losing battle after battle!

Love the mod, on the next patch, will there be more troops to pick from, (i.e. Samite Hvy Infantry, Pedites Exordinaires & Equite Exordinaires,Thorakitai, Hepteres, Deceres) Just curious?

Well, we are not really working on adding new units, as the 35 seperate Legions take up 70 (!) of our unit slots, so there isn't much room for AOR units. But, we have included the city-specific hoplites, which are brilliant, and of course, the Legions.

And while we may not be adding a tonne of new units, a lot of our units are being reskinned/replaced by Tone (he's a genius at this stuff).

If you should decide to add any units, Samite Hvy Infantry, Thorakitai or Theuokitai would make nice additions. Love the game though as is

The fact that I can play with the legions and urban cohort way sooner, in general, I really like the mod. Question though, are there any other ships besides the Brieme and Trieme for Roman use?

If they aren't available at higher levels of of the port building (check the building browser) then for sure they're available in the upcoming patch.

Sorry guys, I haven't been reading this thread. There will be loads of new units in upcoming patches. For a start there will be thorakitai and thureophoroi. There are also some new units for Iberia and Carthage. In the future there will certainly be a load of new stuff, just given time.

The Roman's can build all of the available 'civilized world' ships. But you must be able to build the 'Warport' to get the largest one.
