I have the steam version of medieval 2 and can't find my preferences file to edit out those little green arrows. Any one else download their version of med 2 from steam and locate their preferences file. Any help would be appreciated.

I haven't bought m2tw off steam but i have done so for lots of other games, so I do know how things are set up most of the time, and hopefully in this case.

Your preferences file should be in:

C:/program files/steam/steamapps/common/m2tw

Or similar - it'll either be m2tw, sega, medieval 2: total war or similar

There should be a file called medieval2.preferences.config in that folder - open it in notepad to edit.

If you can't find the /steam/ folder under program files, try /valve/steam - it varies depending on how you installed it.
