8.1a missing files?

Hi,

This is a dumb question and there maybe some thread going for it already but I didn't find anything with the search option.

Anyways, I was playing as Arab when carthage flaged army attacked during 30th turn or something like that.

First of all, is this a bug? i mean carthage is suppose to be all the way to the other end of the map.

And secondly when I enter battle mod(on the same attack by carthage I metioned above) it CTD with a lot error messages about a lot of city models missing. I need to captalized on A LOT maybe. Most of them are for carthage city model. Some tree model are missing too. Is there a mod base I suppose to download and install before I put EB 0.81a-full on there?

I removed everything, then installed RTW, then EB 0.81a-full, tried that, and then installed the hotfix for 8.1 and tried that. No luck. I'm going to restart a game and see how that goes maybe that will fix the problem if the carthage being there is the problem.

Any explaination would be thankful,

Oh also,

Yes i did installed it in the right directory obviously since I can start the program and play for 30 turns. And now I found out that even I start a new game it doesn't work anymore. Might have something to do with that hotfix for .81. I'll reinstall and update on that.

And Sorry for not metioning this too, the problem came in after I installed the hotfix when the game CTD first time because of AI turn CTD.

Used the hotfix patch perhaps? If so, I'd suggest you download the full installer, and either chose to be 'daring' and install that one over your current build, or chose to be 'safe' and install it over another clean copy of RTW 1.5.

The hotfix patch appears to have a malfunctional installer for it - all sorts of weird errors tend to result from using that one. Missing files etc.

Yea thx for the reply first of all,

And yea did a fresh install and it's working fine now. Here is the steps i did:

uninstall everything,
install rome,
patch 1.3
patch 1.5
install EB 0.81a-full
extract hot fix into EB folder(not the patch version but the zip file, it's on the hotfix thread.)

TYVM again and i'll update if it went wrong somehow,

0.81a is the same as the Hotfix, you didn't need both.

Still, that should work. If it doesn't next time make sure the delete your rtw directory after uninstall.
