Ummmmm... we invented the whole Total War thing. That's what we "do".

Those colonial chappies in Oz are johnny-come-lately types.

As to what we're "doing" at the moment, that is a secret protected by sigils so hideous that even to glance at work in progress is to risk your sanity being blasted by the awful non-Euclidean geometry and eerie palimpsests displayed on our screens.

Or something -- possibly with less HP Lovecraft. (As an aside, does anyone else think that HP Lovecraft should be some sort of perversity involving brown sauce?)

One of the current code names for the project is Fast As a Shark II: Yeah, Baby! It's going to be good.

Good to hear from you fishpants, though i'm not so sure about those aussie colonial comments - I seem to remember that we beat you blokes at some game called cricket recently and you apparently still haven't recovered

We may be colonials, but we're colonial winners

That said, a HP Lovecraft: Total War would be interesting, to say the least; though I'd personally stick to a real world: total war for now

@Budwise, diablo - does that answer your question? - CA guys are around, and they read so much they've even gone slightly bonkers, to use an english term

the scary thing for me when reading this thread is I know you guys are talking about cricket, and I am an american. My brother in law is from London, he keeps saying something about a bloke name Kevin Peterson and how they stole him from South Africa. that and some ashes win last year :)

Anyway its nice to know that CA does look at the boards, if you read the back of the manual for MTW2 they give a thanks to the org forum members.
There are few things more annoying than some idiot who has never done anything trying to say definitively how something should be done.

i rarely see any CA people here, except fishpants....but he doesnt work on tw games as far as i know

and if he has nothing to do with the development of TW i dont see why he posts under a CA tag, as it gives a false sense of interaction between the devs and the community

he seems like a genuine nice guy though

and if he reads this, i would like him to politely send me his address, so that i may kidnap him and hold him for ransom until CA puts back glorious achievments

Doesn't work on Total War games? Doesn't work on them!?

Oooh, my dander is up now, I can tell you.

    Harumph!

    Pshaw!

    Grrr!

I'm one of a select (for "select" read "amazingly small") group of people to have worked on them all, you wee scamp! No, hang on, I didn't do anything for Alexander...

    But still. Double Grrrr!

sorry, i said as far as i know. but anyways, its not like you ever reveal anything if you did work on m2tw i can at least put a name to my curses in the night as i lament the loss of glorious achievments

so how did you get the good fortune of not having to work on alexander

This was a pretty interesting thread until some of you foreign guys started talking about playing with crickets. That's disgusting...............and very disturbing. I just don't want to know what you do with them.

Are you certain that doesn't have national security implications, Captain? That sounds awfully like some secret project during the war, something about a joke so deadly it would kill people who heard it.
