Does anybody know about that?
What I red is that in the early 1870ies there was a boom esp. in Germany caused by the industrialisation after the foundation of the Reich and supported by payments from France. Many people invested their money, expecting extraordinary payback. Then the bubble bursted, first at the stock market of Vienna. Many people, most of the middle class, lost their money.
What I red is, that the papers blamed the 'Internatinal Jewry' for that. It also says that this event was one root for the antisemitism in Central Europe, esp. in Germany.
Can anybody give em more information? How the crash was going.
