    Question difficulty levels

    just a general question
does campaign on hard and hard on the battle field
    play a better game

i mean is the AI smarter on both? more aggressive? tactically better?
or is it just they get more money benefits?

i'm sick of a passive AI

and i run EB on BI

Sounds like your sick of passive AI.

I know the computer get higher moral and am pretty sure they attack ALOT more without relent. I tried, dont step into the abyss.

Difficulty settings for the battle AI does not make any difference to their cleverness, all they get is bonuses to their units attack and morale.

The same does not appear to be true for the campaign game, which certainly becomes more aggressive. On very hard the rebels even besiege your towns.

EB recommends playing the mod on Very Hard for the campaign AI and Medium (no bonuses or penalties for the AI) for the battle AI.

Problem with very hard is that auto-resolving seems to be very biased towards the enemy, forcing you to fight otherwise worthless battles.

I also found that it is near impossible to obtain a ceasefire, which is why I usually stick to M or H.

I have had rebels besiege towns on a campaign difficulty of Hard, but they do so infrequently.

Auto_win is excellent once you have to fight multiple battles per turn; it saves so many hours of time fighting battles you know you'd win anyway.

Oh, does the difficulty level (battle or strategical) have any affect on the amount of casualties after battle the A.I heals if it win? It's pretty absurd at times.

While we are on the subject, I would like to know if the battle or strategical difficulty level, effects the amount of my casualties recovering, after I actually fight a battle(campaign)?

Also if there is any difference between which of the four medic types(Herbalist/ Docter/Churgeon/Physician and also a few named characters) you can have in your retinue, regarding the amount of my casualties recovering?

At times the amounts recovering seem pretty much random or I don't understand the factors.

    Cheers.
