I used 200 in the first 10 minutes :P, just to get a feel for the game. I ended up using 600 over the next 3 hours, just being more conservative.

Ahh paintball... if only I had time to play it like I used to. I think the coolest thing about paintball is when you have one coming straight at your face and its all slow motion like... you can see it coming real slow, almost like time slows down and then SPLAT... orange all over your face mask, at which you curse because the paint is no fun to clean out of your mask. At any rate, make sure your so called "friends" don't cheat and turn the pressure up on their guns after everyone sets them to be equal...
I personally like to play as the sniper, so hearing how many balls you guys burn through is jaw dropping, lol. BTW CA, sounds like you got owned. That's a lot of times to be hit, then again, it depends on where you played too. I have only been shot roughly 30 times in 3 years, not counting the time I shot myself in the foot... yeah...don't ask. Anyway, play paintball as much as possible, arguably some of the most fun you can ever have.
Well it was 15 on 15 with 10 minute rounds. Very often I could not avoid it. Trust me, if I could avoid being hit, I tried.
And I gave at least as good as I got.

I'm more used to a slower paced game. Like 10 on 10 in a medium sized area with lots of different typed of terrain. Hills, streams, trees, fields. Lots of stuff. Special forces type of thing too. Lots of sneaking around, blending in with your surroundings type of deal. Got to love it. That and sniping some guy crossing an open area is just the best.![]()
hmmmm...post #5Buy your own paint ammo because they really screw ya if you buy it there .I'm curious CountArach, how long did your 400 paintballs last? Most of our teenagers were coming up dry after about 3 matches and they started with 500 paintballs. Me and the other dad had to go buy another box of 2000 (very overpriced) paintballs for the rest of the day.
..see I do make sense sometimes .
Nah you get the owner to let you know when he has a bunch of executives booked in for a "team building" eventAssuming it stayed frozen and didn't jam the gun with condensation, I think that would earn you a ferocious beating by all hands involved.![]()
I burn through about 200 rounds per match some times, it's all about supression.
It's not really fair as I usually play with amateurs who just run off and try to Rambo, then there's me in a ditch cammed up and perfectly still.
Suddenly 20 balls hit someone in the chest and he falls over twitching, fantastic.
I did get shot in the sole of the boot once, that really irritated me. I didn't even fell it.![]()

That would be ideal Tribesman, but that isn't possible at any of the dozen or so paintball field that I checked out prior to picking the one I did. Every field requires that you buy and use their paint and in most cases that means paying inflated prices. I guess that is where the fields make most of their money. Every now and then some of the fields will have special "bring your own paint" days, but that is the except around here.Originally Posted by Tribesman
