    Default Subterfuge issue

I am currently playing through a campaign as Gaul, which is going pretty ok, but I have just noticed something strange. When I end the turn I see the AI movement and observe the AI pieces moving around the map, then I notice a "Spanish" spy that appears and seems to infiltrate my settlement, Numantia (I've seen this occur with other settlements also). Now this is nothing unusual but what does seem strange is that I don't get any information parchment about this. Usually I'm informed that the "foreigner" is around my city and escaped, or was killed etc etc, but in this campaign nothing. The agent appears I can see him but nothing else occurs. So I've no idea if he was caught, slipped through or whatever. Any ideas?

    Hi Caravel,
I'm, sorry that I'm not completly sure, yet I don't think you get any notifications if an enemy, allied or neutral spy infiltrates your settlements - I think you almost always see them get in, but you only get the message if they are found out and escape or get executed by your noble men inside the city. Hope this helps, cheers!

    Thanks for the replay Omanes

In the campaign I had been playing before the "agent found" messages were appearing regularly, and in this campaign I haven't seen even one yet, despite having some decent spies in all of my settlements keeping an eye on things. So far the enemy spies have arrived in Numantia about six times. They could all be in the city though public order is not that low. There is also a Germanic spy just standing there slightly south of Lugdunum. He has been in and out of there once and no notification has appeared. Am I missing something?

    Hi again Caravel,
I don't think you could be missing anything, yet, perhaps the problem could be that the spies are actually leaving your settlement's of their own accord, through the AI's orders, rather than being forced out by your own spies and soilders?

So what you're saying is that in this campaign my spies are simply a crowd of useless lazy boozed up fools, and the rival faction spies are simply walking in and out of my cities at will and totally unchallenged?
