Thread: Missing cities

    Default Missing cities

This may be a small thing but I have often noted the absence of a few major cities such as:

Agrigentum: This Sicilian town was site of a major Punic-Romani confrontation.

Argos: The city where Phyrus was slain and later and later Acrotatus of Sparta.

I know this is just small but it would be pretty cool if they were added.

    Thanks,

The EB team obviously knows these cities existed, but in their wisdom have chosen not to include them for reasons undisclosed.

    I sound like a lawyer!

There are only 199 provinces allowed for RTW. If new provinces were added, others would have to be removed. Since EB is trying to make the game accurate and fun for all factions, many provinces are placed in places that don't seem useful to many factions, but are infact very useful to nearby factions. Personally, I am a fan of urbanized, 'civilized' factions, but all the 'barbarian' fans need a selection of cities too.

Those cities that you mentioned are less important than the capitals if the province they're in too. ex: Lilibeo is more important than Agrigentum, therefore it is the provincial capital and the one that appears on the map. It is sort of wierd that the Epeiros faction description tells you to "Stay away from Argos!" when it isnt even on the map, though.

Well that should make it easy to stay away from then :D
I shouldn't have to live in a world where all the good points are horrible ones.

Is he hurt? Everybody asks that. Nobody ever says, 'What a mess! I hope the doctor is not emotionally harmed by having to deal with it.'

Akrotatos died at Megalopolis actually, but indeed Marcus and others have provided the answer why those towns aren't on the map.
