    Default Bribe bug

    Playing as the Getai, I found that the AI was all about bribing Singidunum (sp?) I had no idea why but I had 3 different factions trying to bribe it per turn for about 15 years.
    I placed a diplomat in the settlement to increase the bribe cost, hey you never know right, ended the turn and waited for my next turn. Once again Epeiros (sp?) tried to bribe, but since this turn ended on the town I was able to notice the glitch. - Whenever there was an attempt to bribe upon the town, the town gained income when it was rejected. Now it wasnt mad amounts of money, like 20 or 30 each time, but I still thought I should point this out.

    Well, actually I had the same thing happen to me. Always thought it was intended to be so, but never found a reason for this

    It could be something of the 'corruption' income or expenditure. Never noticed it, as these things seem to accumulate in the city's expenses in a seperate little icon (the Dark Hand). I'll have a look...however mostly my towns aren't worth being bribed by foreign entities at all.

    That's happened since vanilla, I've seen it before.
    I shouldn't have to live in a world where all the good points are horrible ones.

    Is he hurt? Everybody asks that. Nobody ever says, 'What a mess! I hope the doctor is not emotionally harmed by having to deal with it.'

    Wouldn't that just be because the town is gaining population, so the tax income is increasing slightly?

    Default AW: Bribe bug

    Thats funny because I (Makedonia) recently wanted to bribe Singidunum (Getai), but couldn't. There was no "Bribe" option in the diplomacy menu!

    @caesaraugustus
    I was thinking the same thing, but the income growth occured on the turn of the computer who was attempting to bribe you rather than on your new turn

    There was probably a family member in the city ... some cannot be bribed ... but this is limited to the faction leader and faction heir as far as I know. So if you are afraid that a particular city will be bribed you might place one of these of your own in there.
