Arrrgggghhhh--inquisitors!!!!!

Dear All:

Good afternoon from Canada!!! I hope this finds you and yours well.

Okay, guys, I'm at the end of my rope about the Inquisitors. Last time I played the game, one of those idiots murdered my English merchant for heresy!!! I was in Southern France, establishing new trade routes, when all of a sudden, one of the buggers comes up and stabs him.

I want to know if there is something that can be done, besides killing them. Anybody got a less aggressive mod for these guys? They not only killed my merchant, but I also saw one of them kill the Spanish princess.

You can mod them out entirely if you like. Or tone them down, cut back their rate of appearance, etc.

To be honest I regularly feed Priests, Merchants or any other agent at hand to Inquisitors to distract them away from my Generals.

I'll never forget the incident where one of them popped up and denouced my faction heir while he was leading a Crusade, with predictable results.

You could always wait for the 1.2 patch, which will tone down inquisitors even further than 1.1 did.

Well, I think the best remedy here is not to piss the pope off. I don't think i've had inquisitors in my lands in games where i've had good standing with the guy in the tall hat.
