As a comic book fan, seeing an army of Captain Americas punching an army of Cyclopses in the face looks more like a joke mod than a serious one.

You should also have The Falcon and his bird can be his projectile :D

This forum is for mods in development - you should post in the Mod Discussion subforum.

I would recommend posting in the Mod Ideas thread here:

Welcome to the forum captain marvel, as Dol Guldur said this thread really belongs in Mod Discussion, so I've moved it out of the Forge.

Hopefully you'll get some constructive feedback in here. Also do have a look through some of the previous discussions on mod ideas. The issue of copyright has been raised a few times, as has the amount of time it takes to make new units for a lot of factions.

    Good luck with your project

I can see a few issues with this... but honestly....nothing that couldn't be overcome. You might be better off having limited units of actual Superhero's with small numbers of powerful soldiers ( like elephant units...not many but lethal! ) and make up the bulk of the cannon fodder as 'avatar' soldiers. Dressed in the correct colours, but not actually superhero powerful.

That way, you could have a small unit of Cyclops fire-beaming a load of peasants carrying Captain America shields and banners. Gives you far more opportunity to see units being blasted about by very powerful warriors, and makes it a little easier to cope with the quantity of Superhero's.

Just a thought ... and it reduces the amount of model variations you are going to need to really flesh out the thing.

I would help to such a mod, whether you get permission from Marvel and you go public with that or you dont and you keep it to ourselves. I dont see why one shouldnt combine ones love for comics and RTW as a game.Contact me whenever you want

Thank you all for your remarks. Wlesmana my friend im a comics book fan also, thats why i wanted to start such a mod, too bad you couldnt see that. I wish there was a fighting moddable game for PC, like Tekken or Soulblade but moddable, where i could put characters in game and make them fight against eachother. But since i played RTW for a while and understand the modding structure of the game i thought i could give it a go. To tell you the truth RTW is not the perfect game i wanted to model Marvel characters for, because of the low low-poly limit of the game. But i will give it a try. I can do it myself you know but it will take a looooot of time. I thought i could get some help to get it over done faster, lets say by the end of this century. Anyway if you have any remarks keep posting

P.S. If you know a nice 1v1 fighting moddable game any suggestions will be appreciated

There is a free 2D fighting game engine. I can't remember the name right now but it's there, fairly simple to use and all you need are the character sprites. Many people have combined other fighting game character on this free engine. Sub-Zero versus Spiderman? Sol Badguy versus Megaman? Godzilla versus Segata Sanshiro? Can be done. Ever seen a pink Chevy (the car!) fighting Captain America? Yea, it can be that ridiculous.

For 3D, I don't think there is one, except the old 'make your own 3D fighting game' thing on Playstation1. Maybe they got a PS2 version.
