Ex-Communication: Can anyone explain how it works?

Beware... It only works if you are already in a state of war with that faction...If you attack a faction on your home ground that is neutral or allied, you take the risk of getting excomm...so wait for them to attack you (it won't be long...) and sent them back with the Pope's benediction...

MTW2 surely lacks a "Get off" diplomacy option to get rid of trespassers...

Good morning from Canada!!!! I hope this finds you and yours well. As for me, I could complain...yadda, yadda, yadda.

I remember the Pope pulling that gag on me, ordering me to stop fighting with Milan for he didn't like the shedding of good Christian blood. I sent my diplomat into Genoa, asked for a ceasefire, and got turned down flatter than a pancake.

Would His Hatness like to figure out a solution for this?
