First .81 campaign impressions..
So I finally got a rig worth playing EB on and after a 2 month hiatus, Im back mofakas!
So I started playing EB .81A... and wow, the Maks actually annoy the crap out of me playing as the Koinon... the romans took Crete from me in like the 10th turn of the game (lol, I know) with the uber Samnite Panzers and some hastati chums..
I am fighting for Athens nonstop, one turn I have it back one turn I lose it... I've lost about 5-6 generals since they just wont turn tail and run with their Spartan guards (who outlast the general 90% of the time)... whats going on? Did someone take the game that used to be a peashooter and turn it into a BFG 9000? Im impressed.
reeallllyyyyy like the changes to Hoplite warfare, its more fun watching them crash into each other now... and I have two kinds of armies, fast hoplites or slower phalanxes, thats what I call variety! Nice rebalancing on unit prices, and screwin with the MIC order really helps make the Koinon a tough one to start with :D
add to that the Spartan merc minimod and you have yourself an epic struggle to restore Greece to its former glory of centuries past... Im sweating here!
