Ok I take back about the billmen, they don't attack but they still kill, is there a fix to make them actually attack? And while shield units are severely weakened they beat most things but take far to many casualties is there a way to stop this as well.

They don't attack and don't kill - any casualties you're seeing are from the initial charge.

The next patch should fix these bugs.

I cannot download any patches only fixes, I only have dail-up and the patches are to large, will the expansion, when it comes out, have all the fixes?
I do have Carl's bugfix but I don't know how to make it work.

    Probably.

There's also a very good chance that PC magazines will have the patch on their cover disc in the coming months

You can try visiting your local university's library and using their uber-fast connections to download the patch onto a USB key.

Just pose as an university student and you'll be fine.

There are plenty of places that have one or two things in place that'd prevent that; student access accounts, or blocking/lacking open USB ports isn't unheard of.

But you could still take a 1 gig key, or an external HD, or blank cd, to a friend's place if anyone you know has broadband. I'd let my friends download a patch like that, or do it for them.

in my game the most notable event that takes place is the discovery of using formic acid as an aerosol spray [chemical shotgun] to kill and mame your enemies.

it give your more technologically advanced ants the ability to fight from a stand off distance from the more primitive stinger equipped ants.

plus i tend to use lots of smaller more numerous ants to disorganize the army ant faction before i send in my heavies [big black carpenter ants]

i usually have a couple of mercenary goliath beetles with queen ant general on top to smash through the enemy formations. with naphta throwing ants in the castle to create havoc.

the combination of my carpenter ant heavies and goliath beetle assault will usually rout the army ant horde.

the army ant invasion attempt takes place around 1200 something and they come on with several big stacks with elite units.

Ok. I just downloaded the 1.1 patch and i was just wandering, does it fix the 2 hander bug? I tried to test it but my unit was destroyed in the first charge and every time I try to test it I always lose, I tried it with 4 units of heavy billmen vs. 1 unit border horse and the border horse wiped out my guys but I didn't see if my guys were attacking or not(they still killed though).

Does it also fix the shield bug? I tried recreating a battle that I lost because of it and I won but I don't know if that was because of the fix or not.
