Free... beer? A tempting offer. But due to the extremely high quality of the new units you haven't seen we can't settle for any beer. A barrel of Leffe Blonde might do it; that's the least we can settle for.

Free beer? At least Ouwe Daan, I take it? If so... we might be able to strike a deal.

You do understand that I will need a sample of this Ouwe Daan of yours before we can discuss barrel-picture equivalence?

I say we invest in a keg-equivalent of Sami or something similarly potent. That way we get even awesome-er units than the ones we haven't seen yet.

Just looking at the units I'd say Central Italian local spearmen recruited by various factions.

Sweet! Now all we need is "Keltoi Kataphractoi" and I'm a happy camper!!

The makedonian version is freaking sweet.

Trousers?! Bah! Real men wear skirts, I say. And if you want to argue this point with myself and a bunch of drunken, aggressively nationalistic Scotsmen, feel free

Bah, skirts. Real men used to wear a knee-length tunic with no trousers (tights and trousers were for poor people), and a cloak with a number of colors directly related to how bad ass he was (well, it was actually social station, but for Gaels social station was in part inspired by the bad assery of you or your forebears). Simple form and function. And a belt, and some loops on the belt to hang scalps. Good old scalping and head hunting. The kilt was invented because a bunch of Hebridean ninnies got cold, kept making their awesome cloak bigger, until it got in the way when they fought, so they had to start wrapping it around their body and belting it on.

Well they say that the Scots were so terrified of their own kinsmen that they fled to Dalraida just to get away from them!
But then, who wouldn't be afraid of those mad, mad Gaels?!
