Ok... wil anyone at least pretend to guess what this unit is?

Yes, we all know is pretty, Heck it is one of the best out there, but WHAT do you think it is?

As a shot in the dark, I'd say it's a high level Getai spearman unit. But it was implied that the unit's appearance is misleading... hmm.

Rabbit heartily recommends these EB AARs.

Perhaps a helpful hint. Each version is for a faction. So as you can see this unit covered many people and many places.

Some sort of Hellenic (judging by the Spear, Javelin, Helm, thureos and beard) heavy infantry, might be one of the new Hellenic Reforms units I've heard of... I can definitely see its definitely hellenic.. might throw its jav then fight as a sort of heavy infantryman?

We ask ourselves whether our names will echo through the ages... how bravely we fought, how fiercely we loved.

To give or not to give them a hint regarding their guesses... Nah I won't, far too few have tried yet.

You should at least say which factions are those. I think I see Baktria or even Celtic factions.

I will try with Illyrian Skirmisher, but could be a Ligurian too.

Umm why would there be guessing, isn't it exactly as the pictures are titled Keltohellenikoi Hoplitai? I really love the design of the Casse skin!

Hmmm a small oversight. You get the craftyness award Sir Ed. Though you could have pretended it was a guess-- we would have thought you a wizard then .

Well maybe you guys could do another preview soon. And next time I won't dabble in black magic to gain my insight. But overall this is a great mod you've created, I am really enjoying my current Carthage campaign. Hats off to the entire EB team.

Those units are probably recruitable in hellenic provinces if conquered by Casse, Arvernii or Aedui, so it's more of celtic influence spreading to Hellas. Don't take this as a fact for I have a slight tendency of being stupid.

I would say they'll be recruitable somewhere in asia minor for the seleucs, ptolies and pontos, other helens: around ancyra
and for Case, Arveni and Aedui in helenic towns on the medetirian cost - like massila
