why cant i edit

Ive unpacked everything and i can get to the units stats to edit, but when i edit them and start a campaign, nothing has changed. Im really a noob at modding so try to keep it simple if you can. anything can help.

You'll need to use either the mod folder, or the io file first switch in your preferences.cfg. Look up how in a tutorial. :)

Well that's because I never got to posting...

And it is quite annoying to post when I have to wait 300secs before posting a new post, and even more (500?) before posting a thread. Sometimes I can't even post at all! Nice to find that out after waiting 500 seconds... :(
