Surely the irritation was sufficient reason, no?

    Okay

My notes on the thread so far:

    The original kill
    - I buy the explanation that GH was an attempted conversion
    - Was BlackAxe targeted because he had a role?
    - If so, how did they find out (more later)?

    Discussion
    - A lot of discussion by Ichigo and Sasaki, yet nothing out of the normal
    - CA talks a lot and says nothing

The only suspicious person so far is Ichigo in the BlackAxe issue.

Accepting that BA is innocent gives his accusation a bit more weight; but if I'm reading this right and he revealed in IRC why haven't the logs been posted?

Well Ichigo and Dicovery could be the mafia, as they were the only ones in chat with blackaxe, disco says he's not gonna be able to post as often, only shows up to defend Ichi and bandwagon a townie.
But that's probably wrong if the chat took place after. >.<
How many Cosa Nuova are there? I thought there were suppossed to be three, but there were only two kills/attempted converts. I'ma go check and see how many there where sposed to be now.
    EDIT;
    Yeah, there's three CN's.
There will be a total of three Cosa Nuova operatives (Mafiosi).
    So that means either;
    1. One didn't send in a PM, so is therefore absent.
    2. Two guys 'buddied up' to get someone, which must mean it would increase thier chances to convert.
    3. Kommodus only actualy created two CN.
    4. One of the attempts succeded.
    5. Something else that I can't think of right now.

Meybe we should lynch some of those that haven't been online in a while?

We'll see if the Mafia dare kill only one to fool us.

Considering the new information that Kommodus brought forth we should assume that foiled attempts = innocent player. That is; IF there are any doctor roles in this game.

@Sigurd - I don't think they actualy get to choose if the person dies or not, they just inject them and the person either dies or gets converted.
@Andres and everyone else smart enough to remember that part of the rules - Gah, my bad, and thanks for the reminder.

Question - Would foiled attempts be shown? It would be a free showing of an innocent player, which might decrease the drama/suspense a bit.

What I meant to say was: If the Mafiosi choose to target only one player one night, it would seem like they have successfully converted one as there will be only one kill that night.
This would be a tactic to hide their numbers. Every night there is only one or no kill description we have to assume that the mafia has increased in numbers.

That could complicate things. Of course, I have to wonder if you may have just given the mafia the idea to do just that. Perhaps they hadn't thought of it, and you may have just given them another tool.(although I'll presume you did so accidentally, for now)

You always presume the mafia has experience. They would have thought of it.

Even if he sigurd was mafia, he wouldnt need to post that. He would probably be more careful. But that leads to wifom.

He stated facts, lets leave it at that.

Alright. I was just saying, I don't like giving an opponent any extra possibilities. And, as I said, I was not insinuating that Sigurd was mafia, I was just saying to be careful what you say.

I'm actually making a slight change to this rule: if the mafia are reduced to one member in total, they'll only get one attack per night.

This doesn't help the town much, though, since as has already been pointed out, there are many reasons why you might see only one attack description.

Just felt I should point that out instead of just changing things up without telling anyone...

I could envisage this tactic being used at a later stage in proceedings, but
wouldn't it be in their interest this early to try and convert as many as possible?
