Thread: Deedee plays Rome ?

Thumbs up Deedee plays Rome ?

No offence, but i was amaised the other day when i saw a girl (16) play Rome TW and beating up 2 guys. She played the Brutii, the others Julii and Greece.
The battle was a huge carnage, as she clewerly did hide her praetorians (2) in the neerby wood. As the flanked the enemy`s combined army she flanked whit the Roman cav on the right side. Flank from left and right was harly pushed. Needless to say she won the battle !!!

The guis did unite they army outpowering her 3to 1 but she crushed them utterly !!!

I`ll try to post the replay of the match !!!

Did not think this, but it seems girl can be good generals to.
By the way the 2 guys she beat r thwo of the top 10 Rome players in the region.

    Hello

Dexter, are you implying that you think girls/women would not be good at Rome TW. Sure i suck but that is irrelavant to the post. Are you saying that women are inferior. If you are then... errr.

I have no doubt that many women would make good strategists.
Maybe better as their male counterparts because they are capable of multitasking.

However, I don’t believe that they would make very good leaders cause of their more emotional side.

Erm, one would hope he would be allowed to say it, even if we don't agree with his opinion.

I took Dexter's original post to come more from the angle of: we just don't see that many females playing this type of PC game. By the numbers, it is kind of a rare thing. The notion that this 'girl' was kicking butt makes it all the more special.

She probably has the benefit of not being an Alexander wannabe.

Learnt how to fight based purely on what the game can do and its limitations, while these guys might be history buffs and arm-chair generals playing as if they are commanding a real life army.

Add that to just being good at the game, and you can beat up two noobs.

Sorry to say, but yesterday in the club we play via Lan the replays and all saves were deleted ( ANGRY !!!), the administrator said that we should use usb sticks to save our games ... i had a fev replays there, i even got permision from the players there to use them. Now all is gone ... (sad) ... i had a good replay whit the huns i wanted to post. sish ... - thats what you get if you don`t bribe eweryone -

Hey, i was not saying that i don`t like girl players, but usually i see them playing sims, or other more "girlish" - no offence here - games.
Angel01 is just 16, yet she kicked the guys butt, who r 19, 21.
I`ll ask them if they have a save of the replay ... maybe there is a chance to post it.

LuckyDog Trojan - yes there r wery few girls who play this type of game, to say the truth she is the first i ewer saw playing

Noong - nope, the guys i mentioned - Razor007 and MadMax_1 - r 2 of the 1best Rome players, as there were over 1000 players ... they even held a local championship ... they were in the top 10 ... - i did not participate at that time, maybe i was to chicken ? - so as you can see my suprise when i saw the battle result.

And the name i used Deedee was just for LoL as i`m Dexter and am certain she would have beeten me as Deedee beats Dex .

I will try honestly to get my hands on that replay.

Probably correct. Note she used the Roman cavalry, which many historically-minded players balk at outright, in a vital role. Still, I don't see how you could play TW without getting a passing interest in ancient military history.

Meh. The sound of two praetorian units, plus the fact that presumably both sides used equal amounts of cash, make me think the battle was nothing special.
