Hmm, Kingdom of Loathing. It's fun and ok for about five minutes, before becoming a mind-numbing chore of clicking on the same old links to get your stats up, only to decide to try something 'different' and then get beaten up by a badly drawn orc-type thing, whereby you then go click on the same old links again so your stats are good enough to beat the pseudo-Orc, which you do - but then you get killed by an unconvincing misspelled Ghost thing and you're back to square one. During a period of my life where I had absolutely nothing better to do with my time, I managed to get a level 7 Disco bandit or whatever it's called. And then I didn't log on for a few weeks and the character was erased. I cried myself to sleep that night. I'm still crying now, but over other things. Like the fact they keep changing the names of all my old favourite snacks and breakfast cereals without telling me first, so that when I wish to embark on a bit of nostalgic stuffing my face with nosh, I get all confused and end up eating something else completely different.
I'm sure it's amusing with a clan though. If the server isn't still infuriatingly slow. And if they still don't delete your account because for a little while at least you actually have something better to do. I also hope they didn't just throw the meat I'd collected away. That would be a waste. There's probably a few tramps out there in the Kingdom of Loathing that could have done with it.

It is not slow or a chore at all! It is never-ending-intense humor!
They delete your account after 3 months of inactivity (at least the used to, I think that they may have extended it to 9 months, nst). They only add, they do not change names. I am a pack rat and have at least one of every item that costs less than 1 million meat in the game; I have never seen a name change! The amount of possible combinations have increased, that is true. Also, the game went through a major overhaul (that included adding things and changing quests, not the names of any items ;)), and it is a lot funner now than it was before.
My advice to you (and to all else) is give it a try! The first few levels are a little limited of course, but after you expand your character a bit, the possibilities will also expand.

It's fun by itself for about a month, if you get involved, you can stay involved indefinetly. I quit because I'd ascended multiple times and the clan I was in died.
