Default Does create_unit cheat work in EB?

I dont seem to be able to get it to work, i was wondering if it was soemohw modded out.

My problem is that I cant recruit any troops in Sulek. i though a workaround that i wouldnt feel to guilty about given the circumstances would be to use the crea_unit cheat, but i dont seem to be able to get it to work. it always says unit not found or somethjing along those lines.

if it does work, please will someone give me an example of an exact type out of one that they know works

Can't think of a reason why it wouldn't work. You just have to get the correct parametres in there. I'll dig up something for you..
Edit: Here you go, fresh from the EBBS.

create_unit Chersonesos steppe missile cavalry skuda baexdzhyntae 3

    didnt work for me

i really would like to do it for Pentodapoi (Hellenic Native Spearmen), as they are prob the cheapest unit my faction (bactrian) can have)

i have been able to use this cheat regularly in medII without any problems and i think the system is still the same.

i am presuming it is the part of the name in brackets which is causing problems. Should that also be included after create unit, and if so in what format. Ive tried several variations and cant get it to work.

You cannot use the external name. You have to go to the edu and use the internal or "type" name.

Ahem, (embarrassing admission) I think we have the syntax wrong here: quotes are required around the unit name. I haven't got around to fixing this yet. Should be

    Code:
create_unit Chersonesos "steppe missile cavalry skuda baexdzhyntae" 3
Now, most console commands don't work from the Rome shell and this may be one. However, if you can get create_unit to work in vanilla RTW, it will work in EB.

Look up the unit in the edu, and make sure that that is exactly what the unit is called.

    create_unit "Baktra" "greek infantry thorakitai" 5 2 1 0

The "5" is the number of units to make, the "2" is the experience, the "1" is the armor and the "0" is the weapons.
