Japan spends some $50 billion on their military each year. The "Self Defense Force" is well supplied.Fascinating. I've been wondering about Japan and how it fits into this new East Asia that I've been contemplating, which revolves around China and India, with Pakistan, the Koreas, Taiwan as the main junior partners. Sure, Japan doesn't have the largest of militaries, but their economy is a juggernaut.
I wonder how Japan will react when China increases its saber rattling.
