    Default The Three Kingdoms.

Right, sorry about the other thread, but this will be much cleaner.

A new thread for people still interested.

    Nobles:
Nobles can raise private armies, in order to help their nation or stir up civil war. Troops raised by the state cannot be used for anything but what the king tells them, but private armies do whatever the noble who raised them orders. Every turn nobles make money depending on their rank, and they can spend this on raising their own armies or upgrading what troops they have.

Based on a nobles actions they may become better at certain things. For example: if a noble leads several armies to victory, he will be more likely to win in future. If a noble just sits around and lets his income stack up, he might get better at managing money and may be awarded more income per turn.

    Death of Nobles
If a nobleman is killed in battle, then he must start again as a noble in a different province. The Baron of his province will become Duke, Knight will become Baron etc. Anything he has invested in (bodyguards, armies etc) will be disbanded and he must start over. Also, all nobles collect income each turn, and therefore have money in their "account" so to speak. All of this disappears also. Anyone who dies becomes a Knight.

    Assassins / Bodyguards
If you would like to assasinate a rival noble, be he on your team or the other, then simply PM me on this forum, saying who you would like to have assassinated, and how much you are paying. Let me tell you something: the more you pay the higher your chance of success. If you are afraid you may be assassinateed, you may hire bodyguards.

    New Bodyguard - 100
Assassin Attempt - at least 100 and add 100 more to increase the level of the assassin.

Each noble starts with his own bodyguards who bring down the chances of assassin success:

    Knight - 0
    Baron - 1
    Duke/Count - 2
    King - 4

    Economy:

    Incomes of roles:

    Knights 200 Florins per year
    Baron 400 Florins per year
    Count 1000 Florins per year
    Duke 1000 Florins per year
    King 5000 Florins per year

Each noble's income is the same, as his peers, and he may use his money as he wants, to raise his own troops / ships or to have rivals assassinated or to bribe other players. The money that the state makes through taxes and trade belongs to the state, and the King has the final say in where it goes, usually to raise new troops.

    Military:
England starts with a total of 25,000 men. France starts with 20,000 men and Scotland starts with 5,000 men. Kings will tell me where they want these troops to start, and where they want them moved each "year".

Each weapon you equip your soldiers with costs a certain ammount of Florins per one hundred men:

    Dagger - 25
    Bow - 30
    Spear - 35
    Longbow - 40
    Halberd - 45
    Axe - 50
    Pike - 55
    Crossbow - 60
    Mace -65
    Sword - 100

    Armour:

    Leather - 50
    Mail - 150
    Plate - 300

    Shields:

    Buckler - 60
    Kite Shields - 100

The Kings distribute the number of men amongst their nobles.

Starting troops will be given stock weapons and armour, depending on the country.

    So what do you do?

A king of each country picks their nobles, for each section of the country. The objective is to eliminate the other countries.

Mini alliances, big alliances and so forth can be used to anyone benefit.

Movement is 2 provinces per turn for armies. Sea travel is faster, but you may lose men to storms and scurvey etc.

    Kings

You are the country. You must pick a successor to fill your place if you die. You raise state armies that do one thing that you tell them to. You can raise a personal army, but they must be of the highest equipment, and it may cause disfavour among your nobles.

    Counts/Dukes

There is no difference between a count and a duke. Each are lords of a part of the country. You can band together with other Counts or Dukes to help them, or benefit yourself. e.g. Duke 1 is from scotland, Count 1 is from England. Count 1 is annoyed at the English king, so he decides to defect to Scotland. All the knights of his provinces that agree with him change sides as well. Changing sides will cause desertion among loyal men.
e.g. 2 (same people) Count 1 wants to be a King, so he gathers Duke 1 (both from england this time) and convinces him to join a splinter faction. They then rally together, name their new kingdom (once again, losing some men, but less than before)

Counties and Duchies can declare war on each other, but it will only be war between them. For full Nation war, a state army may be used or a formal declaration of war.

    Knights

Knights command individual provinces, owing loyalty to their King and Count/Duke.
Knights can join their counts in a rebellion or stay loyal to the crown (and probably getting a higher status for it.)

    England and Scotland:

    France:

    Scotland:

    King of Scotland
    Duke of Sutherland
    Count of Moray
    Count of Ayr
    Duke of the Isles
    Duke of Lothain
    Count of Fife
    Duke of Stirling

    England:

    King of England
    Duke of Kent
    Duke of Cornwall
    Count of Somerset
    Duke of Sussex
    Duke of Essex
    Count of Suffolk
    Duke of Nottingham
    Count of Stafford
    Count of York
    Duke of Northumberland

    France:

    King of France
    Count of Leon
    Duke of Caen
    Duke of Champagne
    Count of Flanders
    Duke of Beauce
    Duke of Anjou
    Duke of Blois
    Duke of Sens
    Count of St. Pol
    Count of Amiens

I need a person for each of those at least.

Each Duke/Count has the same income, to keep it simple.

Any Questions, post it in here please.

If this goes ahead, i think ill need a bigger pm box

Thanks to Ignoramus for most of the rules, and the maps.
