A few questions so we have some more info:
- Are you running v0.81a?
- When does the game crash, e.g. when you press the button to start the fight, at the beginning of the loading bar, at the end of the loading bar?
- Do you get any errormessage when it happens?
If you are using 0.81a can you upload a savegame, so we can take a look at it.

no messages, jus a total crash.
Forgot, have to test if it hapens whit autoresolve as well.
Could you reload your game, and see if the CTD persists? It mgiht be a sprite/vegetation thing - and those don't reoccur.

no its not, my first battle, whit parthia, and not the first against the AS, the only diference is the one unit of cavalery in the AS army, just befor this battle i won a batle against a AS general led force: 1 eastern slingers, 1 unit looking like parthian spearmen, and 1 nelenic native phalanxe(sp?), it hapens every time i load it and push start battle, regardles if the script is on or off, the autoresolve, lets me continue, but i jus hate thet thing.

I get a ctd as well if I start a fresh campaign with any army at that exact same location, which makes me think this is a map-error. Ill post about this on the internal boards and will get back to you with the results and hopefully a solution.

Solutions are good!

Ok, the way to get past this is pretty simple, we can just move both characters one tile to the left.
To do this load the game and click withdraw from battle, Then open up the console (~).
Now enter these two lines:
The names must look like this:Code:move_character Phraotes 284,133 move_character "Antipatros Methonesioudaikes" 284,132
Name (for the Pahlavan general)
Firstname Middlenamelastname (for the AS general)

Is there a way to fix this bug permanently, or make the tile on the map unreachable or something?

It's because of the oasis set as far as I can tell. It works fine for me (that custom battle location, but I can see the oasis just to the side.
We don't know why the oasis works for some people but not for others. It's possible to change it and never have the problem- here is the fix... (give me a minute)...
FIX:
1. Open descr_settlement_plan.txt in a good text editor (back it up first).
2. You will find these two entries:
Code:plan oasis oasis.txtJust change the "oasis.txt" part to "clump_of_palm_trees_A.txt"Code:plan oasis2_with_trees oasis.txt
That should work, but make sure you backed up descr_settlement_plan.txt first. That is it.

TA, so this is the same as the Oasis CTD I got? Since it now works for me should I not implement this fix?
For some reason it worked only after I copied the entire RTW folder over (did it just in case) and installed over the original.

If the oasis is working for you now in that custo battle, then don't worry with this. This is only for folks who are getting a CTD with the oasis - those are the only ones that *should* be getting the CTD here.
I encountred another strange thing, in the pahlava campain, when i saly out of susa, against this army:, the mouse changes to the clock, and remains so, I can move around the map, can ieaven click on characters, but nothing more: can't close scrosl, cant make a chose in the main manu, etc. When I atack the enemz whit a stack from outside its, imidiatly shows battle deployment, but if i atack it from the city, it ends, it ends whit the clock mous, I end the game through task manager after 5 mins, of no progress. Hapend like six time i trzed it again, whit and whitout script, and after waiting a turn, to get an army of 2 HA from the city to the north.
