Yes, but I don't remember it well. I do remember liking the battles in VI better than those in MTW or Shogun. I think the mass movement of armies may have been a bit more stable, but I still remember getting my battle lines scrambled from time to time on long moves.

I try to only move straight ahead, which, given command control in those days, is probably pretty realistic. When I really need to turn my battle line I usually do it with a rotation from a stationary position. What I don't find realistic is the amount of time I spend having part of my battle formation turn around and march away from the enemy just so that the entire group can pivot thirty degrees, or whatever.
