Thread: roman barracks bug?

    Default roman barracks bug?

i have noticed a possible barracks building bug in v.81a:

basically, the buldiung of barracks in italy showed no progress over many turns. i noticed only by coincidence. i removed the barracks from the building queue and next turn, the following building in those cities, although normally requiring multiple turns, were finished and the next one up in the queue halfway through.

i.e. the city was not building the barracks, but crediting the building turns to the next building in line, only they could not be finished unless i removed the first one in line (the barracks).

my idea was that i put barracks into the line and sometime later there were some reforms which made them obsolete before the building process began. does that make any sense?

i seem to remember that there were marian reforms sometime earlier but i am not to sure.

    That is weird and confusing...

IIRC, if you have a building in the queue and you then lose the ability to build the building it will leave the queue on its own.

Were you trying to repair a building or build a new one? If there are two buildings of the same type in one town, the older one cannot be repaired and just sits in the queue.

dunno... maybe just a freak incident. it was the polibyan reforms btw, not the marian. maybe i screwed sth. up when i made generals recruitable.

(i.e. consulares and not marian reforms ... singulares and marian reforms...)
