    Run the v1.3 patch first, then follow that with the v1.5 patch. AFAIK your old savegames will not be compatible, so your best bet is to clean them all out.

    After this you can go through unlocking the locked and non playable factions. Frogbeastegg's guide in the RTW guides section describes how to do this in more detail.

    -Edit: You should notice a difference, with the v1.5 patch. v1.0 was very buggy, imbalanced and generally very poor indeed.
