EB Unit List

Hello,

First of all I have to excuse for not perfectly speaking and writing in English.
My name is Marcel and I´m living in Munich/Germany.
Since almost 2 years I´m a big fan of RTW and since a fairly long time I´ve dared to the RTW Modding-Projects.
I´m totally enthusiastic about Europa Barbarorum... but before I´m going to play this Mod the first time, I have to finish my "Total Realism"-Campaign (my time for playing computer-games is very restricted, because I´m "daddy" since 6 weeks...).
To approach Europa Barbarorum in a professional manner, I got myself a general idea about the multiple new units in the game. Thereto I´ve started to design an extensive table, which lists all participating units, arranged towards ethnic origin (Greek, Romani, Steppe etc.), branch of service (Phalanx Units, Spearmen, Light/Missile Troops, Assault Infantry etc.), faction-affiliation etc.
However, I have purchased the data worked up in this table mainly from the forum discussion about the "Collectible Unit Card Project" and the Faction List from the official EB-Webside.
I´m sure that I´ve not grabbed all units (especially the mercenary units are missing) and the data for many units is incomplete.
For your information, I would like to send you a copy of my unit-table to your E-Mail Adress and I herewith give you my permission to set up this table on your webside, once it is completed.
Now, in order to complete my work, I´m asking you to provide me with all missing units/data which are/is not mentioned in my table.
Is this possible?
It would give me great pleasure :-)

It won't take too long for you to do this research yourself, in fact. All units can be found in the export_descr_unit.txt file in the EB/data directory. If you cross check that file with the export_units.txt file in EB/data/text folder you will be able to tell what their external names are and if you have them already.

If you go the the following link, you can select each faction and see information about their units.

Click on the shield of the faction you wish to chart. Then click on the UNITS button. There you will get a picture and description of the units currently available to that faction.

The other way might be to play a battle and as you choose your units, you could possibly gain information about them there.

Could you please send me this "export_descr_unit.txt" to my E-Mail adress (Hamstwut@gmx.de), because I´ve stll not installed EB on my computer (as already mentioned I have to finish RTR first).

I 'might' be able to help you. I have a little program that converts the EDU into a format that I find more readable for making the unit cards. With some modifications this could be altered so that it outputs a comma-separated list, which you could then read into EXCEL and thus create a spreadsheet straight from the EDU.
