Default Linux question: file for update locations

Does anyone know where the file that tells Linux where to get the updates is stored ? (Kubuntu) It seems like one of my sources is giving me bad files and i'd like to remove it.

It seems to be updating okay now

    I was using :

    deb http://security.ubuntu.com/ubuntu edgy-security main restricted

and related deposits, but I should be able to get everything from belnet anyway, I just forgot where the file was located that stores the deposits, and what it was called

    Thanks
