MIC problems

Hi,

I'm playing EB with the Romans
I captured Alaria from Carthage, and proceeded to get a level IV gov in place, built a factional MIC (the ones with the tents), and there was this hoplitai hoploi unit that became available.

Then I started upgrading my MIC (Allied State Armies and stuff), then the recruitment for the hoplitai hoploi disappeared.

Then I trashed the level IV gov and put in a level II, and now it's worse.
can't get a factional MIC that recruits, so I built a campus martius.
Except I can't get my Drill Ground...

Then there was Patavium, I installed a level I gov this time, and I build my own MICs (the ones with no tents), but all it does is recruit velites? Where are the hastati and princeps?

Help!

Is there a place where this is carefully explained? FAQ, some readme? We need to have it very clearly laid out where we can point folks like this. Bear with us DMu, this is probably the most frequently asked question for EB - but I'm not sure where the answer is - I'm sure there's a good one here somewhere so we don't have to type it up new each time. Hope you're enjoying things so far!

It turns out that there was something wrong with the .description text for my work around for one of the CTDs. Now that I use the first cohort mod, The Patavium problem has been fixed.

In Alalia, the option for Roman MICs are still missing, even though the type II gov is established

Oh yeah, and I love this game! It's the cause of many wasted mornings.
