Thraikioi Prodromoi Recruiting Bug as KH?

Just a minor oddity which may not even be a bug but here it is:

When recruiting Thraikioi Prodromoi in Pella or Byzantion as KH in version8.1a, the units appear in the following turn bearing the "varies" identifier for recruitment cost in the unit info screen.

Since these units are recruited as regular units from the city shouldn't they have the actual recruitment cost instead of "varies" as found in mercenary units? Thanks.

This is because the unit is classified as a mercenary. It's used to allow us to have more skins on the same unit I believe.

I see, and the same thing doesn't apply to the Cretan Archers since the KH recruits and the mercenaries already have two separate skins? The shields with the urns for the mercenary Cretan Archers and the other symbol for the KH regular recruits from Crete?

Actually I have no idea beyond what little I've picked up in the discussions in the internal forum. It was pretty much summed up in my last post . Perhaps someone else can give you a better answer.
