playing as the aztecs

ok ive beaten the papal campaign but i tried to pull the same method of modding the strat files with the aztec and as soon as the campaign starts it says that the mission or objectives or something like that failed and i went back to the original menu.

is there something else i can mod in the events folder or in the win conditions that can make them playable.

once i can use them i plan to teleport them and take a major city then use its port to create unit boats.if it works like that or i could hire mercenaries.

any tips?
