Depends on what I'm searching for. Sometimes the first couple of links. Sometimes 10-20 pages.
If what I'm looking for doesn't appear in the first or second page, I've obviously tried the wrong search, and so I rephrase my question.
Depends on what i'm searching for and what I'm getting back (ambiguous terms). I'll rather tried to refine my search than to look through all the pages. Though I have, on occasion, found some good things on page 5 or so.
One things that's annoying is that Google isn't case sensitive, very annoying when looking for specific abbreviations![]()
Yes, Iraq is peaceful. Go to sleep now. - Adrian II
I remember that there is another site called dogpile or something like that which compiles all of the major search engines into one, google, yahoo, msn, ect... That I suppose should be better for searching than any of the individual search engines
"I do not know what I may appear to the world; but to myself I seem to have been only like a boy playing on the seashore, and diverting myself in now and then finding a smoother pebble or a prettier shell than ordinary, whilst the great ocean of truth lay all undiscovered before me." - Issac Newton
I'll go 10-20 pages if I'm serious about the search and am not happy with the first several pages. If I get too much junk or unexpected, unrelated results, I'll alter my search criteria and try again to remove the chaff.

I try to limit my search by being very specific, so my result won't get more than 5-10 pages.

Some piously affirm: "The truth is such and such. I know! I see!"
And hold that everything depends upon having the “right” religion.
But when one really knows, one has no need of religion. - Mahavyuha Sutra

Me too, only I won't go beyond 5 pages without re-phrasing my terms - except if I seek an image; then 20 pages = OK.Originally Posted by Gregoshi
