    Default CyberNations

    http://www.cybernations.net/

Who else plays it? I have recently gotten out of a bad alliance and started a new one, aptly named the Eastern Legion Empire. I'm currently looking for members and graphic artists to help me set it up.

More or less. Not 4chan specifically, but members of the /b/ alliance.

It seems that I am not able to register at this point. Once I am able to, I will join your alliance though.

Have you considered an alliance with the RTR forum? They have a team I believe.

Eastern Legion Empire will be a peaceful alliance, refusing to take part in MDPs or MAPs. However, I will readily accept a NAP with them.

It looks like fun, but I still don't have my new PC yet. [sigh] Three weeks seems so far away right now....

Well if you're still interested, Kek, I'd like to join when I'm up and running again.

Jumping ship from Legion, Kek? Can't blame you at all.

Good luck with the Eastern Legion Empire. If get some people together and need a NAP, drop me a line at the FCC.

It was a decision long in the making. The Legion grew more from "hey, we'll protect you!" to "hey, you're a traitor if you don't help us and we'll hunt you down!". Not the kind of alliance I want to be in. Then GWIII broke out, and that solidified my choice to leave when Legion first-striked FAN. If you want to know more about why this was a bad idea, read the alternative history short-story "Billy Mitchell's Overt Act." It's a great read, and sounds strangely familiar in CN.

NPO attacked GATO, activating the Mutual Defense Pact by The Legion, Legion attacked FAN, ODN attacked GOONS, and then all hell broke loose when /b/ posted child porn on the message boards and went nuclear. This war reaches all sorts of epicness.

Indeed. Instead of dropping from bombers leaflets of surrender messages and warnings to civilians about nuclear bombings, drop pictures of child porn instead and let the 4chan Party Van take care of your enemy!

    HELP!!!
"Cry, the beloved country, for the unborn child that is the inheritor of our fear. Let him not love the earth too deeply. Let him not laugh too gladly when the water runs through his fingers, nor stand too silent when the setting sun makes red the veld with fire. Let him not be moved when the birds of his land are singing, nor give too much of his heart to a mountain or a valley. For fear will rob him of all if he gives too much."

Once registration in CN becomes available again, more Orgies can join.

Charter of the Eastern Legion Empire

    SECTION I - Purpose

    1) To provide a haven for peaceful nations who do not feel the need to be forced to develop their nations against their will, to include entering wars against their will.

    2) To provide protection of Eastern Legion Empire nations (hereafter known as "Eastern Legionnaires") against rogue attackers.

    3) To provide assistance to Eastern Legionnaires in nation development through trade, diplomacy, and aid.

    SECTION II - Membership

    1) To be eligable for membership in the Eastern Legion Empire (hereafter known as "ELE"), a nation must provide, in a sign-up thread on the ELE forums, the following:
    1.1) Nation Name.
    1.2) Ruler Name.
    1.3) Prior Alliances, if any.
    1.4) Team Color.
1.5) Number of times a nuclear weapon was launched against another nation.

    2) While purple is the recommended trading sphere, nations will not be denied membership solely based on team color.

    3) Membership shall not be denied based solely on the ownership or launching of nuclear weapons.

    4) Membership will be denied to those who are currently fighting a war, no matter if it is defensive or offensive. Nations wishing to join the ELE must first declare peace with all nations they are fighting.

    5) All ELE nations are given the right to gracefully resign from the ELE at any point in time for any reason.
5.1) Members who resign, and have not committed any offense which is dictated in the Charter, shall be welcomed back should said nation re-apply at a future time.
5.2) Members who were dishonorable discharged from the ELE shall not be granted membership again in the future.

    SECTION III - Laws

    1) No ELE nation shall engage in a war of aggression against another nation except with the permission of the Minister of Defense.
1.2) Defensive wars shall be reported to the Department of Defense.

    2) Respecting the neutrality of member nations, no nation within the ELE shall seek to establish a Mutual Defense Pact or any agreement that forces an ELE nation to engage in a war of aggression.

    3) No ELE nation shall engage in a nuclear strike against another nation except as a retaliatory strike against a nuclear rogue.
3.1) All retaliatory strikes must be pre-approved by the Minister of Defense.

    4) No ELE nation shall be rude, insulting, or in any way unprofessional or disrespective toward other nations or their diplomats.

    5) No ELE nation shall engage in espionage against another nation or alliance.

    SECTION IV - Government Offices

True, except that I visit the Org on my work computer. While they don't particularly mind me visiting message boards, I'm pretty sure they *would* take exception to me playing web-based games. (In fact, I think they block such sites.)

That said, do you have any idea when CN will be open for registration again? I ask because I may have my new PC as early as this weekend (although probably not til next weekend).

Unfortunately, no. Many, including myself, believe new registration was taken offline due to the Third Great War. Now that GATO has surrendered and the war is over, hopefully new registration will open again.

For the uninitiated, there are two aspects of CN. The official game part of it, which is fairly standard, manage your nation, blah blah blah. And then there is the alliance politics, which are ridiculous and drama-prone. It can be fun, but if you aren't careful you'll wind up with your nation in ruins over a misplaced comment...

Isn't that how it is in Real Life?

GATOer here, since the day i joined CN. We got mauled pretty bad but at least the war helped us trim down the fat. Many people are leaving because of the surrender terms, others because of the excess (even by CN standards) drama. Some of us also made a colony in LunarWars (unimaginatively called...GATO :P) and most of the people in LW (in general) are coming from CN. I find it is more interesting than CN.
