Why do captains have this ability? If your captain is in a unit which already has another special ability, you don't get the horn.
They should make it a general's ability only.

It is mostly a generals ability not every captain seems to possess it in every battle.
Because if yer in a really close battle and you don't want your troops to rout you blow yer horn and rally the troops to keep fighting on, otherwise everyone gets demoralised in a close battle and scarpers.Originally Posted by Omisan

I know what it does, what I don't understand is why the ability is given to captains when there are no generals. It's not fair since most of the units already have a special ability that takes the "horn" spot on the menu.
So basically, you can have a captain that uses the horn when he's in a peasants formation, but not if he's among heavy cavalry since that spots is taken by the wedge ability.
Doesn't make sense to me. You either give it to all captains, or you don't.
Agree
i never find myself using the horn anyway![]()
And when the brazen cry of achilles
Was heard among the trojans, all their hearts
Were troubled, and the full-maned horses whirled
The chariots backward, knowing griefs at hand...
