Well, a clue to cowboys (who live not only in Texas), and a reference to the Stampede, the world's largest outdoor rodeo. I guess I could have said:Originally Posted by barocca

EMFM's city looks suspiciously like those found in Switzerland, but I know when searching for Louis' Swiss city that this architecture is also found in and around the North of the Balkan.
No time to actually do a seach myself...

Is it Nürnberg, Germany?

Good eye, Sigurd. That image was so tightly cropped, it only just barely included the city's distinguishing features (Pegnitz River, Kaiserberg, town center).Originally Posted by Sigurd Fafnesbane

I was sure barocca would get it with my last clue.
I am sorry if my clues yield no google.com results. I am trying to give clues that does not give it away instantly and maybe they instead become too cryptic.
I could have mentioned Viking settlements in 1000 AD or the misconseption that this people have 100 words for snow.

Those clues would have been good I think. It wouldn't have given the city from google, but it would have given the region![]()

Some clues to get you going:
This city was founded in the 20th century
It is build next to a much older city
instagniz... (Instantly recognized).
I was going to use this city in one of my previous turns.
It wouldn't be fair to solve this without letting others get a chance.

It looked very Middle Eastern to me, so first I looked at Saudi Arabia, then Lebanon, and continued south.
The answer is Tel Aviv.

I see a soccer pitch at bottom, a park-like area near the top (actually looks like a memorial-type area; I'd expect to see statues there, on the ground).
What is that red line at top? A border artifact? Pipeline?
The left and right areas are 'fuzzy', so I guess we see several images pasted together. The water is quite blue, so I think we see a deep-water port city, not an inland one.
I don't see enough red or blue roofs to conclusively pick a continent - but my best guess is: northern/eastern Europe/western asia, like Russia-Poland-Ukraine-Latvia area.
Yeah; a tiny hint would be good.

I agree with the deep-water theory.
Roof-wise, there are a number of concrete block buildings that make me thing of the classic Soviet apartment block -- so I think that you're on the right track.
St. Petersburg or Talinn?
