TV programs that you hate (or dislike) and programs you want shown

The producers of BSG nova have said several times that there isn't more 5 seasons worth of story for the concept. Which is why they are developing a spin off about the inital Cylon rebellion 40 years before.

That's how Japanese fiction shows work. A show runs for a certain amount of episodes and then is over. It will have different sotry arcs and such. Then a sequel series could be done.

Well, obviously there are SOME people who like the never ending barage of such shows, because they keep showing them. Over, and over, and over, and over... Yeah, it gets old, very quick. Also, I really just don't care much for "history of switches" on modern marvels.

Not that I want to knock you down, but you sound like just about every other late teenager in our society, wondering what the point of it all is, since even if you don't perform well in society you can have a pretty comfortable life, so why even bother ? All the little things people seem to care about seem so insignificatn and you wonder why they don't realize it. You just want to find a reason in life, a goal, something to give meaning to your life. You're interested in the military or war in general because it seems so 'pure', every mistake can be the difference between life and death and you want to know whether you have what it takes to make it through. Frankly, you'll grow out of it. You won't grow to like shampoo's or care about realitly TV, but you'll discover they have their place, you'll probably end up discovering that there is some depth to some of the shallow people too. You probably won't find that purpose in life, few of us ever do, but most likely you'll learn to except that sometimes the trip is worth it, even if you don't know the goal and might never reach it.

To tell you, it's not that I care about these things really: it's just that society cares about such trite and silly insignificant things and that we humans, or they, society, have hardly changed from our most basic primitive nature. No (inner and outer) peace, harmony, wisdom, etc., but all the easy things with quick or instant satisfaction, based on the forcing hand of nature itself - emotions, egoism, conflict, primitive instincts, etc.
The late teenager thing: meh, no. It's more that I've always been a philosophical person, a truth seeker. But let's not go too off-topic here... I'll open a Backroom thread one of those days :)
