p.s. just to clarify ArtistofWarfare's statement. D2D IS NOT Warez, you do still pay for the game, but you download it instead of getting a disk. Their where advertisements for it on FileFront a while back, Ironically enough they where for M2TW LOL.

Yes...heh, I should have clarified myself. Apologies.Originally Posted by Carl
It certainly is pay.
One last thing, I forgot about this: Will 1.2 be save game compatible? I know this is always asked 1000 times, but I've yet to find the actual answer in any posts.
Thanks.
1. No idea when D2D patch will be out, but IIRC 1.1 was out LATER than the boxed version. I'd go on that.
2. To answer that question accurately we need your system specs (sounds just like the n00b helpdesk assistants at Dell at my ISP). I'd say if you had no problem till now you're fine. Only later on you may have Huge city battles which are a burn on the GPU. Anyway if you're playing your game 'right' you'll never have to do a city battle.
3. I don't think so. Perhaps marginally by 3-4%.
4. M campaign, VH battles. Have played a lot og VH/VH but it's silly how dumb it gets sometime. I know it's called Total WAR but hell it's not called annihilate my sorry butt, and that's what the AI begs for on VH/VH. Glad to oblige though. :)
5. 1.2 will probably NOT be savegame compatible, no official word on that IIRC, but that's how it always went.
One thing I'd recommend is installing Carl's PureFixer, it addresses a lot of the bugs currently in the game. It's a compilation of fixes by various members of the community. It's REALLY worth the install.
I did'nt play since December because of the bugs but now, man, this game ROCKS.

Hey I'm really sorry but I'm WRONG on point number 5.
Correction:
5. Savegames WERE compatible in 1.1 !
So I cannot answer that one with any degree of certaintm but I guess in that case 1.20 should logically follow 1.1 and also be savegame compatible.
Weird logic huh ? ;)

I just wish they would state it, at least a week or two in advance. They know why this is relevant: We want to know if we can start new campaigns or should wait until the new patch comes out. I bet there are thousands waiting for the patch before starting a new campaign.Originally Posted by Sinan
I'm just stuck sitting here wondering...hmmm...EB .81 or MTW1.1 for now?
I'm like seconds away from just installing Rome and EB.81 and then worrying about this patch issue in a few months when I'm ready for my next MTW2 campaign heh (AFTER a LONG EB campaign heh).
One of the people with the unofficial/leaked patch should be able to tell you that.
Still maintain that crying on the pitch should warrant a 3 match ban
About the patch, you are supposed to install 1.2 with a clean install, not with 1.1 on so I don't know how D2D will deal with it

Good point ! So we can have our answer already !Originally Posted by HoreTore

The "leaked" version of 1.2 that many are ... testing atm you have to do as a clean install to avoid a CTD bug. That was one of several reasons they delayed it.Originally Posted by Xdeathfire
This does NOT however mean that the official release will require a clean install. I think most (all?) of the TW patches over the years have been save game compatable and if I were forced to bet, I would bet this one will be as well.
