    Default Xl

    I've noticed everyone on here seems to adore the XL mod for MTW. Could someone please tell me about the new units, factions etc. offered and provide some screenshots if possible?

    Thanks in advance,

    I just can give a half answer:

    New factions (no guarentee that the list is complete):
    EARLY:

    Armenia
    Bohemia
    Cuman
    Genua
    Irish
    Kiev
    Lituania
    Norwegians
    Portugal
    Scots
    Serbia
    Sweden
    Venetians
    Volga-Bulgars

    Papacy, Nowgorod are playable
    Italy is removed

    In other eras:

    Crusader states
    Teutonic order
    Bulgaria

    New units: a lot

    There are also some new provinces (provinces are divided)
    Poland -> greater and lesser Poland
    Livonia -> Livonia & Estonia
    Kiev-> Kiev & Levidia
    Chazar -> Chazar and Lesser Chazar
    Sweden -> Sweden & Scania

    Golde Horde is playable

    Just read the thread in the mod section.

    IMO, XL-mod is in general much better than the unmodded game, I never played the unmodded game again, when I had unstalled XL.

    I have downloaded and played both BKB's SuperMod and XL Mod. For sheer variety of units and max trade opportunities on domination mode, the SuperMod is great. I like XL because it has the Glorious Achievements mode. Both are quite stable and seemless with the unmodded games. You have the option to play the unmodded MTW if you want on both mods.

    Lord Cazaric, I honestly recommend checking out the XL thread in the Engineers Guild (assuming you haven't already done so). I think you'll find more useful information there.

    Personally, Ithink the Super mod is great, but the map puts me off sometimes.
