Thread: questions about online play

I have 2 questions. First of all, what's the different between friendly and competative games? I can't find this in the manual or FAQ.

Second, is there a way to view your record without having to look through the log files? Like a command or something.

    - thanx in advance

When you create a character to play with a record of your wins/losses is made and you gain honour points as you win games and you lose honour points as you lose games.

    Search your character here: http://www.totalwar.com/gameregister...ayerSearch.asp

    Now the difference is simple:

Friendly games don't get recorded in your character history while competitive games do.

The look at your win/loss record and the relevant honour value and position on the player ladder search your character in the address I supplied.

THe logfiles you need the viewer for, there's no other way of seeing the info as far as I know.

As to the difference between comp and frindly games, when youregister to play online you have a record created. THis starts you with 1000 points. When you play a competative game the winner gains points and the loser loses them, in a proportion linked to how succesful a player haas been, ie beating a high points player gets you more than defeating someone less able. Everyone is then ranked in order.

Friendly games have non of this nonsense, and are just that, friendly, there's no record of you playing them. See this thread for more info.

Hmmmm all my logfiles can be viewed by notepad or if it's too big then with wordpad. I only downloaded Magy's logfile reader because it makes a bit more sense and is easier to read.

(That's what I meant to post sorry )
