Map´s without using photoshop?

Hi all,
is there a way to make a new campaign map or to cut a part of a campaign map without adobe phtoshop?

Yep, GIMP which is free, try getting it from here: http://gimp-win.sourceforge.net/stable.html
you'd need GIMP for windows (assuming you are on windows) and the run-time thingy.

Or any other image editor you have on computer that can edit .tga files (eg. PaintShopPro etc)

I did one with GIMP, but I cant get it to work.

are you still having problem or have you done version that works now with other program?

If you are still having problem may I refer you to my standardised request for more information:

What game are you modding? (RTW or BI) Which patch version? (eg 1.2 or 1.5)
Are you modding a released mod that you have downloaded? If so please state which.
Explain what you did last, eg. added region, removed faction, created complete map etc.
Confirm that you have -show_err on your shortcut and state if it is giving a message or not.
If you are getting a message please quote it.

Also explain in detail the nature of your crash / problem. For campaign map problems that can be;
KTM = Kick back to menu, you try and load campaign but get sent back to single player menu instead.
CTD = Crash to Desktop, if that is what you get please state what screen / stage of loading bar you where in when it crashed.
Other; loads map but with distorted graphics, loads map but crashes on scrolling.

The map is for RTW 1.5
Its my creation
I take a part from the imperial map, then I made some changes, I added new provinces.
I have -show_Err, but I dont have an error message.
Its a KTM.ITs possible to have a map with 4 factions alone?

Caius Flaminius, you can have a map with only two factions so that is not the problem. I can't remember what gives a KTM without an error message (it's quite rare) next time I really will write some of this stuff down somewhere .

If no-one else comes up with suggestion, put all the changed files (including regions_and_settlement_names... from data/text) into zip folder, upload it to MegaUpload or similar and post link here. I or someone else will have a look.
