whats the best way of stop beening the same faction all the time

I got a problem I can stop being rome I love there units and the way they fight but I can only seem to stick with them and ever one else I seem to give up with after 10 years or so and it annoying me as I want to be able to stick with them

has anyone else got this problem or just me and how did other people get over being the same faction all the time

I'd say the best way is to, well, choose another. It's a banal response but there you have it, you can't experience another faction without playing them. Go ahead. Preferably one radically different to the previous one, like a nomad faction.

First try the faction that is your worst enemy. Than the one you hate the most. Then one that starts small but you wan't to change history with. Fight you old faction. You might have perfected your tactics for Rome. How will you fare as their enemy?
Try one of the steppe factions. Playing them is like so unlike every other faction you're bound to have fun.
If none of this helps you go back to your Romans and keep playing non stop for a half a year if you can. Just Rome, allways Rome. If you don't get tired of them at that point you're a game addict and should seek treatment along with all the other people addicted to games and internet.

On second thought, scrap that last part. No one I know can live by that advice. Give up gaming and Internet... like going back to the stone age. *uncontrollable shivers*

Try getting into the roleplaying aspect more. Play as a greek faction and really pay attention to their traits and ethnicities and change your tactics to fit the faction. You'll get a lot more enjoyment out of trying some of these other factions and then beating the romans in addition.

But seriously you really should try some of the other factions. If you don't how can you say you have truly experienced EB at its fullest? Even I have left my beloved Getai, yes only for 3 hours maybe 4 max

But in that time I did have a chance to play as Baktria, and as KH ( didn't enjoy KH as it was in .74 patch and they didnt have the polish they have now, now I think of it so was Baktria

) The sheer variety of the culture EB so lovingly creates should really be experienced by every player, even us die hard factional fanboys

Alternately, open descr_strat.txt with a good text editor (back it up first), and then move your favorite faction to the unplayable section. Easy peasy.

If you want role play, play the saba. The landscape is beautiful (desert sunset) and it's so atmospheric: when you're the only faction out in a huge desert you start to role play loads. For example I made a role play about the great war leader who built watchtowers along the mountains all the way up to Bostra province.

If I recall correctly, a couple people have used hitler or nazis as an analogy for the EB team. This was usually after being given a perfectly reasonable answer for why they didn't do something the way the poster wanted.
