RTW patch

Hi,
I installed patch 1.3 & it now wont allow me to start an imperial campaign! (this'll be the 2nd time i,ve tried to load up the patch) I have made some mods previously to allow me to play all factions but obviously this went when i reloaded.

I am currently back to basics running version 1.0 with non of my factions unlocked.

I am resistant to try again bcos of the time involved to reload game.

anybody shed any light into my dark roman empire

p.s the Macedonians are dirty sneaky SH.....Ts

I would say the plain old fresh install should definitely do the trick since u say u modded some stuff

Look this is what you do you cleanly install RTW then patch it to 1.3 then install any mods otherwise the mod files will get messed up with the patch files.

thought i did the last install on clean load but i may not have cant remember

would any saves that from modded games effect it only i seem to have the old saves even when i reload game

I'd say it isn't the mod.

Where exactly are you installing the patch?

Is it into your main RTW folder or is it in a sub-folder?

managed to install 1.3patch on clean copy but i removed all my previous saves out of the save folder (which may just be coincidence that it worked but it worked )

havent attempted the mods to play all factions again since the reload happly playin Jullii

everything seems a little brighter now....

i like the feature on the campaign battles (when u have 2 or more armies) where u get to decide if your general is AI controlled, it used to make mad when a general was nearby to an army & they would come in as reinforcements cotrolled by the computer & plough straight into the enemy without a thought!!!
