    Default Romani Forts

    Question 1:
What are the chances of being able to build standing camps (castra stativa), like the following example, in future EB builds? Meaning in addition to the already present summer/temporary camp (castra aestiva) currently used. (used wiki for terms so I could get them correct: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Roman_camp)

    Example: http://www.online-archaeology.co.uk/...ageContentID=2

Or is that type of fort beyond the time period that EB deals with?

    Question 2:
In the currently used model shouldn't the palisade be on top of the mound with the ditch immediately in front instead of the palisade being in front of the ditch & mound? If so, was it purposely done, the way it currently is, to give less advantage to the Romani player (ie. help the stupid AI)?

If my understanding of Roman forts during the time frame of EB is incorrect, forgive me and please direct me to some sites so I can read up on them?

    Thanks in advance.

1./ Garrison them, for instance with your five-soldiers-three-gold-chevron veterans. They look nice enough to be 'static' I have certain mountain pass citadels in the Caucasus myself; some garrisoned with vast armies, some not. Every one of my armies has it's own static home stronghold

Furthermore I think there's only one model available for the forts, and imho the current one looks nice enough to be both 'static' and temporary

Garrisoning does work. That is what I do now. Was just thinking about something in stone.

Don't get me wrong.....not complaining at all. EB is an awesome game as it currently stands. Though I am very eager to see some of the changes Zak has been hinting about for the Romani.

Not possible with EB. We can only have temporary forts, and only one type of look for the fort per culture.

MTW2 Kingdoms offers permanent forts, so perhaps we might see them in EB2
