    Default Protection of Democracy

    1951, Soviet Union , Moscow.

    it was once again a chilly morning. Hundreds of people walked through the streets of Moscow, the steam rising from their Mouthe's. But it was early morning, and there was not a lot of people.

    All were fearful, as they were near the the Main Building of the Soviet union. It was 9 stories high and it was rumoured it went even lower then 9 below. It was where the Secret Police of the Soviets stood, where the Generals planned their attacks. Where the heart of the Soviets was.

    No one wish to be near it, as eyes were watching from that building day and night. Watching for intruders. Mainly American intruders. Spies.

    Of course on that chilly morning, there was a American Spy near by, And he was heading for that building. The plan was to get in, place a listening device in the Generals Room then get out. he was not to be caught, if he was he was to escape or die.

    His name was Joseph. Joseph Johnson. He was part of the CIA, he was not a regular recruit. Nor was he highly ranked. Though his rank was high enough for this special job.

    On this mission Joseph had two other agents nearby, one tracking movements, and the other attacking other places of Soviet power, mainly barracks.

    Joseph was waiting on the other side of the centre space. the centre space was dreaded, as tunnels were rumoured to be under it. Plus anyone who walked there was watched, closely.

    Joseph was in one of the buildings, with binoculars. The room was heavily curtained, and behind him was his co-agent Maxton. Who was to watch Joseph's back.He also Had the receiver end of the listening device.
    'Okay, Nicolas is moving towards the spot. Two minutes left' said Maxton, Joseph nodded and swallowed nervously. Nicolas was providing a distraction, he was to move the car by a Soviet Barrack and blow it up, though he was to be far away from the spot.

    Joseph watched the guards closely, every now and then their eyes flickered too Joseph's building. As if waiting for something.Then a massive boom rocked the place, and dust sprinkled from the roof.
    'Okay, go go go!' said Maxton. Joseph stride to the door, grabbed a pistol, which had a silencing part at the end, and grabbed the device and grenades. he then walked out and onto the street.

    He quickly had a look at the Soviet Guards, who were looking at where the explosion had taken place. Joseph smiled, it was working. He then went to a side alley, where they had arranged for a car to be waiting. It was there. he hopped and started the engine. After some minutes of it chucking and heaving, he got it working and reversed from he alley, then driving down the road to where the Soviet Building was.

    At once he could feel eyes following him, guns aiming at him. But they were not shoot. Yet. He drove up to the security check point, And Joseph made sure his Head Cloth was on properly, as the Soviet Guards approached him. They spoke to him in Russian,
    'We have to see your ID Badge, License and officer Card' said the guard roughly.
    'Of course my friend...' replied Joseph in Russian, but the Guard gave him look, a look which meant hurry up or die. Joseph couldn't drive off now. if he refused he was shot. If he tried to drive off he was shot, And if he failed to show it he was shot. But Joseph had manged to obtain a fake version of all
    things the guard requested, and Joseph showed him. The guard looked at it, his eyes though flickered sometimes to Joseph and behind Joseph. Joseph was starting to feel, if possible, even more nervous.
    'It is good, you may pass' said the Guard, but he smiled.

    Now you May think that smiling is okay, but in 1952 at one of the most highly guarded buildings int he world? And he was let through so easy.
    'Something's not right here' thought Joseph. All eyes were on him, so eh drove forwards and parked his car at another checkpoint. Then another strange thing happened, no body searched the car. He walked up to the Steel Doors, which opened quickly, then slammed behind him. it wa slike a prison. Inside was no different. Guards were everywhere. Everywhere was guarded.

    One thing happened before the doors shut. A blast happened nearby. As the building rocked. Joseph looked behind him, and saw the building where Maxton was blow up. then it dawned on him. They had to know. it was a trap. The doors though slammed shut. And he walked forward again.

    His superiors had told him one thing of escape. if discovered he was to get out or die trying. And that was fairly obvious.

    Joseph couldn't go out the front again, they'd shoot or capture him. Where else was there was exit? He would have to go out the front or from the roof.

    Joseph turned around and walked out, someone yelled out:
    'Come back!' but the door shut at once. Joseph looked around, no one was looking yet. he ran over to his car and started it.
    'What do you think your doing?' asked a Guard, pointing his gun at Joseph.
    'getting away' snapped back Joseph, who drew his gun and shot the Guard. All of a sudden Russain Voices could Be heard, but Joseph was around the corner already. There was crackling and gunshots, and screaming. Joseph looked back and gasped. The Guards were shooting everyone in the Town Centre.

    Soon Joseph was out of the city. No one knows how he did it, as he has never told a soul. He met up with his arranged plane, out near the mountains. Then the took off to West Germany, then to Britain and ten back to America.

    ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
    2 Days Later, Moscow, Soviet Building of power.
    It had been two days since Joseph had attempted to infiltrate the Soviet Building. The story had sprung through the city.
    The story was that American Spies had gotten into the Soviet Building and killed many officers.
    That was a lie of course Building where Maxton was had been blasted obviously, and something had gone wrong with Nicolas's bomb.
    Through propaganda, the Soviets told one story. That was the American Spies had been killed at the Guard Checkpoint, but one had blown himself up and killed some Soviet soldiers in the blast. the other also had shot and blasted the citizens in the space in front of the building. Which led some to hate the Americans.
    Nut really it was a different story inside the Soviet Building. They had managed to get a description and photo of Joseph's face. And were analyzing his data and info.
    Inside the main Soviet Building, down where the Soviet Secret Police were, they were being assigned a mission. There was many lights flashing and beeping, but all of the Police stood in a line. With their commander in front of them.
    'I have a new mission for all of you. As you know, a American Spy has recently tried to, get in to, this great building, and kill our leaders. I want you to get into America, and kill him, he may have valuable information about us. For your mission I have some info on where he lives, what he looks like and several places he visits. Kill him, then get out. Alive or die trying!'
    And so ti started as the Police moved out. Joseph was being hunted by the Soviets, and was at great risk, which he knew not...
    The start is certainly intriguing. Unfortunatly, I didn't quite get how the infiltration was supposed to take place.
