    Default Battles of the World

    Hi all,

A new idea! Heres how it goes.

    Intro

In this game your a general, in command of an army (you pick whos in the army) And you face someone else (another person) in a battle. There shall be a map and everything, then you put markers on where your forces are and we start battle.

The objective of this game is to be reigning champion. To do that you have to win 5 battles in a row, everytime you win against the other person, you can say bye (and they go to the back of the queue) OR you can offer them the position of a lower in rank officer. (Giving them the chance to continue playing) but they can say no.

    The Concept

Everytime time the map (the battlefield) shall be randomly generated. With squares and stuff.

I shall post a list of how much money you can spend, and the limit of soldiers. Then I shall post a list of soliders you can recruit (all with a cost).

Once you have picked from the list of soldiers, I shall post a map. It shall have coordinates on it, so you choose the coordinates you want your soldiers to be on. Then I shall post it on this thread. Then you PM me the moves of your units (one move per turn), at the same time you have to use your battlefield! As the time period is also randomly generated. One minute your fighting in Roman Times, then you fighting sometime during WW2!

    When two units fight

WHen the two units fight I shall roll a dice for each unit. The one with the highest number loses 1 soldier. Until eventually the unit is dwad. The aim of battles is to make sure all of your enemies units are defeated.

    The Level Advance
Every time you defeat a enemy you advance a level. Once you reach the 5th level you become the champion! Thats until someone else can beat you!

    Questions?

Please feel free to ask questions, as the rules still need polishing!

    Current Champion: No one

    Signed Up To FIght:
level 1: CountArach vs Xehh II (The First Battle Ready to Lauch! Shall start soon!)
Level2: The Winner of last battle vs pevergreen
Will add next level match when lvl 1 is resolved.

I've tried to run something somewhat similar to this on another forum and my best piece of advice is:

Make sure you WANT to dedicate the time to this.

For this one I shall have little sessions where I work on maps and stuff. it should take about 1 hour to do a map, then the rest is cruising until next level!

Hm... and I was going to start a (vaguely) similar concept here too.
However, mine was chess-like-mechanical-moves-with-known-results rather than dice-based, and units get pushed or annhilated rather than taking casualties. I'd have started it, but it relies on facing, which would take too long to do.

    Best of luck!

Egypt, for a time, was French controlled, so presumably I imported them.

Ummm, now for the big question - How many men are there in each unit? Also should I PM my army to you?

Ummm... good luck with that. You can get helicopters that don't work, elite SAS troops and can't fight in any battles before 1788.

    Awesome,we have heaps of players!

I am doing the map, as I said from what I can see it looks a bit dogy, but serves all right!

You can't order a nation to play as, just when time comes I shall know what one you prefer!

Xehh you have to PM what troops you want to me.

    The Map:

Spoiler Alert, click show to read:

    The Light Green:Normal Plains
    The Dark Green: A Forest
    The Dark Brown: A Mountain.

Now Ca and Xehh (once you choose your troops) Choose where you wanna place your troops. By PM'ing me the coordinates of the troops. Then I shall put it on the map and post the map up. And then the battle begins!

Alright, a few questions (I sent these in PM to you as well):

    1. Do we have to deploy a general?
    2. Do we have to deploy on any particular side?
    3. Effects of terrain?

Ummm... that should just about do it.

Oh yeah, forgot about that stuff thanks for pointing out!

    1. Yes, I guess so. Actually lets make that a rule. if you lose your General then you lose that level.

2.Yes. The first person (CA in this case) is on the left side. The second person (Xehh II in this case) ont he right side.

3.Yes as well. But thtas sortta obvious though I should've mentioned it.

Like forests give you lesser of a chance of being hit killed. On mountains you can hit people better(Unless their there as well.
